Daniel Birdsong is an assistant professor of counseling and the school counseling coordinator at the University of Montevallo (UM). He earned a Bachelor of Music degree in music education from UM, a Master of Education degree in counseling from UM, an Educational Specialist degree in counseling from Jacksonville State University, a Doctor of Education degree in educational leadership from Samford University, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in counselor education and supervision from the University of Holy Cross. Previously, he served as an elementary school counselor in Alabaster City Schools. He is a Certified School Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, an Approved Clinical Supervisor, a National Certified Counselor, a National Certified School Counselor, and a Registered Play Therapist. In addition to serving at the UM, Daniel provides part-time counseling services in Alabaster, AL at Warrior Wellness Group, LLC. He offers ALC supervision in Shelby County, AL, and he currently has one opening. He specializes in providing school counseling supervision.
